Annual General Meeting 9.1.2017
 
The meeting was held in The Old Schoolroom and opened at 3pm.
 
Committee in attendance : Margaret Chapman, Judi Johnson, Judith Cockburn, Linda Cork, Judy Norman, Wendy Shepherd, Penny Vernon, Pete Philpott and Helen Whitehead. No absences.
 
Mr G Shepherd, Mrs A Cole and Mr B Whitfield also attended.
 
Minutes: There were no minutes to approve, as this is the first AGM for this committee
 
Chairman’s report. The chair presented a summary of the year’s activities and gave a very positive report of the many achievements of the group.  Thanks were offered to Wendy for her continued hard work on behalf of the village. Copy sent with these minutes.
 
Treasurer’s report. The Treasurer presented a written summary of the year’s accounts, which have been audited by Aisling Downie. There is a positive picture with a steady increase in funds throughout the year.  Thanks were offered to Judi for her continuing work on our behalf. Treasurer to circulate copy of report.
 
Votes of thanks:
Following these reports it was particulary requested that thanks from the committee be minuted to Mrs Sue Philpott for her work during her membership of the committee and her continued efforts for the village. Also thanks to Ms Aisling Downie for her work in auditing our accounts.
Thanks also to Linda Cork for her work as Secretary this year.
 
Election of Committee: There is currently a vacancy on this committee but no volunteers came forward. The committee will therefore continue as before but with one vacancy.
 
Election of Officers: The following appointments were made:
 
Chair : W Shepherd. Proposed MC. Seconded JJ
Vice Chair : M Chapman. Proposed WS. Seconded HW
Secretary: J Cockburn. Proposed HW. Seconded MC
Treasurer: J Johnson. Proposed WS. Seconded PV
 
 
 
AOB:
Congratulations were offered by Mr B Whitfield for a successful first year.
 
Offers of support with events were given by Jill Embleton of Humble Abode and Mrs A Cole.
