We have arranged to hold a virtual extra-ordinary meeting using the Zoom platform on Tuesday 14th July commencing at 7pm. The details regarding access to this meeting for the public will be posted here next week so watch this space. This will include the meeting I.D. and the password to allow you to join the meeting. You will need to download Zoom to access the meeting. This date was originally scheduled to be one of our ordinary meetings. The agenda will also be posted next week. We will be covering some of the work that the PC has been carrying out over the last few months. We have not held the Annual Meeting, or our AGM as these would have taken place in May. However, we hope to hold this, as permitted by law, later in the year. If a face to face meeting is not possible then we will again use Zoom to hold an on line meeting.

Local government electors may also question the auditor about the accounting records and make an objection to the auditor.
The rights in Sections 26 and 27 must normally be exercised within a period of 30 working days, including the first 10 working days of July.Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the government has introduced The Accounts and Audit (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.
Among other provisions, these still require a local council to set a 30 working-day period for the Exercise of Public Rights, but the council is now permitted to delay this, starting on or before 1 September 2020.
A further notice giving opportunity for the Exercise of Public Rights to inspect the Council’s accounts will be displayed in due course.
