Village Show and BBQ

The return of the village show after many years of absence was very well supported with several entries in all of the classes.
Many thanks to everyone who entered and thanks also to the judges and to those who came to view the fantastic display of entries.
A good crowd attended the after show BBQ, enjoying fine weather , good food and great company.

Plans are afoot for the next village show in 2018. Watch out for the date!!

Fifty-Three villagers and friends boogied on down to The Green Tree for an evening of nostalgia and fun. A great evening with musician, Eddie Grant and a 70s themed meal of Chicken and Chips in the Basket, and Black Forest Gateau....washed down, perhaps, with Mateus Rose or Blue Nun wine.
Happy days with 70's music and some great costumes.
Thanks to Brian and Carol from The Green Tree  for hosting the event.

The monthly Saturday Coffee Morning also saw the official launch of the new Patrick Brompton village website. The website team of Linda Cork, Andrew Bull, Mike Catterick, Karl Brown, and Grahame Shepherd introduced the content to those attending.
Those attending were also given information about the new film nights, which will start in May. They were given an opportunity to vote for the types of film they would like to see.
The coffee morning was again, well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks are given to the coffee morning team who provided fine coffee, tea and lovely cakes.
